Kingdom Hearts Sora's Keyblade by iatesatan Kingdom Hearts Sora's Keyblade by iatesatan
This is Sora's Keyblade from Kingdom Hearts. I made this for a friend of mine to carry with her Sora cosplay at AX 2010. Photo courtesy of the owner.

The blade and the pommel is made from plastic sheeting glued together into a 3D form with foam inside to give it more stability. The shaft and cirular parts of the pommel is made from pvc with wood inserts on the end to cap them off. The handle is a length of wood dowel. The chain is painted plastic, I bought the clasp and the mickey charm is cut out of plastic. The blue part is sculpey and all the raised beveled pieces are foam covered in plaster (probably the least successful part of the build.) I would cover it in paper mache or fiberglass if I was to do it again. I airbrushed the entire thing.

Well that sounds like a lot of work, but it looks like it turned out awesome.
